Beyond the Classroom

We believe that education should extend beyond the classroom. Our children deepen their understanding of the world in which we live, through a range of activities, trips and experiences. Learning outside of the classroom enhances the children's well-being, develops their self-esteem and encourages them to develop new skills within a risk-taking culture. This will be inspiring, memorable and aims to expand their life experiences.

As a school we are fully committed to using places other than the classroom for teaching and learning - indoors and outside, on-site or further afield. With this in mind, Stoke Damerel will be aiming to achieve the LOtC Mark and will, initially, be working towards the Bronze accreditation.
